Turkey Flowers Pillow

I love travelling in Turkey. Not only exploring the caverns and palaces, hippodrome and obelisk in Istanbul, but getting out into the countryside near Cappadocia. Especially fascinating is the home of the whirling dervishes in Konya, who whirl as the moon around the sun.

This pillow is inspired by Turkish embroideries and I had fun learning lots of new stitch combinations for each flower.

I just finished the text for the stitch guide and in 12 font it is two pages long, single spaced.

Originally painted on a white background, I opted for a charcoal gray for my home and it seems to be a happy pairing. On 16 count the canvas measures 15 1/2″ x 14″, the pillow 21 1/2″ x 19 1/2″ plus fringe.

Fibers include: Sprinkles, Ultrasprinkles, Silk Lame Braid, Rachelette, Watercolours, Fyre Werks, Soft Sheen, Color Infusions Memory Thread, Threadwerx, Accentuate, and Sundance Hex beads.
